It’s Warm Welcome Week

From the 19th to the 25th of January 2026, it is National Warm Welcome Week. This week is all about celebrating and appreciating our warm community spaces. We are so lucky in Bristol to have so many welcoming community centres, libraries and hubs. At the Bristol Energy Network, we are lucky enough to work with these incredible places through our energy help desks and our workshop programme.

Warm Welcome week recognises that the winter months can be really tough for lots of people as heating and fuelling our homes is getting more expensive. This week is all about giving ‘blue Monday’ a bright new makeover. You can get involved by wearing some bright clothes, like a pink jumper or maybe a red coat. You can also get involved by visiting a community space. We have listed some of the fantastic warm spaces in Bristol that you, your friends and your family can use this winter. We will also be attending the Lockleaze neighbourhood event on Wednesday, the 21st of January, between 15:30 and 17:30, so pop down, say hello, get a warm drink and learn about some energy-saving tips.

Wellspring Settlement:

Wellspring Settlement in Barton Hill is a welcoming community hub and warm space where local people can relax, connect, and access practical support. Especially during the colder months, it offers a safe and friendly place to spend time and take part in community activities.

In partnership with the Bristol Energy Network, Wellspring Settlement hosts Energy Help Desk drop-ins and workshops offering practical advice on saving energy, lowering bills, and keeping homes warm.

Lockleaze Neighbourhood Trust

At Bristol Energy Network, we’re proud to work alongside Lockleaze Neighbourhood Trust, a resident-led organisation at the heart of the community in Lockleaze. Based at The Hub, they provide a welcoming, heated space where people can come together, stay warm, and access local support.

By hosting Energy Help Desk drop-ins and workshops, Lockleaze Neighbourhood Trust helps us bring friendly, practical energy advice directly to residents — supporting people to save energy, lower bills, and keep their homes warm and healthy.
